One address, and a person reads it — not a queue and not a bot. Nothing behind it is a ticketing system, whatever the address is called.
We answer usually within two business days. If nothing has arrived by then, look in your spam folder before you assume we ignored you — we are a new sender, and filters are cautious about those.
What people write about
Each of these opens a message with the subject already filled in.
- Getting started — you are thinking about making a memorial and have a question first.
- Help with a memorial you are making — something is not working, or you cannot find how to do what you want.
- Payment or a refund — anything about the one-time price, a receipt, or a charge you did not expect.
- Your data, or a privacy request — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or a deletion.
- Report a memorial or an invitation — somebody used us to harass you, or a memorial names someone it should not.
- Press or partnership — anything else that is not the above.
What to put in the message
Two things, and they save a day: the address of the memorial — the something.honordawn.com one — and the email address you signed up with. Almost everything we could help with is unanswerable without the first, and asking for it doubles how long you wait, in a week when waiting is the last thing you need.
What we cannot do
Saying these in advance is fairer than saying them in a reply, and one of them protects every family here.
- We will not give anyone access to a memorial they do not own. Whatever the circumstances, and however true the story is. It is the one thing keeping a stranger from talking their way into your family’s memorial, so the answer is fixed rather than a judgement we make message by message.
- We do not edit or remove a family’s memorial on someone else’s say-so. If you are in a photograph or a story and want it gone, ask the family first — they can do it in seconds. If that is not possible, write to us and we will look at it and act.
- We cannot recover a password without the account’s email address. Having that address is what makes the account yours, and there is no way around it that would not also be a way in for somebody else.
